My own start

It was at this point, I realised I could make a career at doing something I genuinely enjoy doing, helping people start their journeys just like how I did mine. a drive for other people success and their own wins. I had built up a base of knowledge over a few years already and went through the process of learning more. understanding more and becoming qualified.

After about a year of training on my own, I had started to bring a couple of friends with me to the gym. At the start it was just for fun, but the explaining of the expertise the reason for doing certain exercises in a specific way gave me the enjoyment I hadn’t had from most jobs or hobbies. I had a passion for helping people getting started

Why I became a PT

And if I’m completely honest, the hours are all over the place. Days are longer than a typical 9-5, but since becoming a personal trainer. I have not worked a day single day.

Prior to the gym, I hadn’t partaken in any sports since I was about 13 a good 7 years of little to no real expercise. But the gym was the catalyst for me to get back into what I loved doing as a kid.

I started running - going from not being able to run 2km without stopping to 18 months later running a few event half marathons and then a sub 3:50 marathon. Started Kickboxing, working my way through the belts. Then football, which was the original passion. The gym gave me these opportunities by realising sport and exercise can be fun, it is rewarding and it massively benefits your own life

I started training towards the end of covid, with simple gym visits and not much more. With no real insight to what I wanted to do other than loose weight and get stronger. I was almost aimless. But a passion was growing

It was the passion for learning how the body works, how to perform better and become more efficient that gave me the joy to keep pushing myself not just within the gym but in other sports and my own personal life. It’s not everyday that I wanted to go but its the discipline that kept me accountable
